Rumah Charis -- Children Home ♥

Yea!! It's FRIDAY!! Today, my 2.10 classmates and I performed for Malaysian Studies's Art Performance at campus.. And it was quite interesting.. Thank God!! Finally finish performing this performance because I'm not good at performing on stage and I was so worried.. Scariest thing ever!! hahaha.. I will blog about it next time.. :) Back to topic, last week my moral education group members and I went to Rumah Charis - Children Home which located at Jalan Klang Lama for assignment purpose.. :)

Since the community work should be done for 5 hours, so our group leader belle decided that we should make two visitations to there in 2 days -- 30th November and 1st December 2011.. :)

 Let's see some background of Rumah Charis.. 

Rumah Charis, a non-profit Christian based organization, was founded in 1988 by Reverend Teo How Ken as a home to serve the old and the aged. Since our inception, our ministries have expanded to include children and youth. For more than 20 years, Rumah Charis has offered social services that provide spiritual guidance, shelter, education and healthy community activities. We believe that each one of us can play an important role in being a blessing to others and testify to God’s grace.

Rumah Charis is registered as a social welfare home with the Registrar Society of Malaysia and is a member of the Kuala Lumpur Social Welfare Department.

Let's start the first activity -- Wet Games

Instruction: The kids need to soak the sponge into water at the starting point and run to the end point and squeeze as much water as possible into an empty bottle provided in a duration of 3 minutes. The group that able to collect the most amount of water will win the game!

The second activity for that day: Cupcakes Decoration! ♥

I love this session so much! It's fun and it was my first time decorating a cupcake.. 

Kids line up to take their favor decoration : Choco chips, Almond, Chocolate rice, Star decoration, Chocolate cream and Vanilla cream..

Cleaning Session!

We reached Rumah Charis earlier at around 12:30pm cause class end earlier..

Today, our activities included making Mini Burger and Interaction Session! :)

In a nutshell, doing community work really benefits me alots, it taught and reminded me to appreciate and cherish what I posses now.. Join Rumah Charis -- Children Home or others charity organization or do something that contributes to the society!! :) It's fun and enjoyable..
